Professor Raja Akash

Prof. Raja Akash is consultant psychologist and Director of Indian Institute of Educational Health, Nagpur. He has vast experience of 20 years in conducting psychological workshops & personality development. He has till date trained approximately 40,000 employees from private and govt. sector and near about 20,000 students. He has conducted workshops for Govt. departments like Maharashtra Police, Forest Departments & LIC and eminent Multi National Corporation like Larsen & Toubro, Raymonds and Hindustan Unilever.

He has worked as clinical psychologist for Muktagan De-addiction center Pune, and Institute of psychological Health Thane. He regularly writes articles in various local and national news papers. Shri Ulhas Athale

Shri Ulhas Athale is a renowned Handwriting, Fingerprint and Ballistic Expert and consultant of questioned documents in Nagpur. Shri Ulhas Athale has done B.Com, LL.B., M.I.A.F. Sc. After receiving training in identification of Handwriting and Finger Print, Shri Ulhas Athale started working with his grandfather Shri C.T. Bhangay, who was a Government Consultant for a questioned documents and also a renowned handwriting and renowned Ballistic Expert. Shri Ulhas Athale is doing the work of expert in this field, for last 28 years. He has examined hundreds disputed documents and given expert opinion and evidence. Shri Ulhas Athale has a well equipped laboratory with latest gadgets including Ultra Violet Rays, photographic department and also an up-to-date library in the subject. He is approached by advocates from different states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Orissa for seeking opinion and has appeared as expert witness in various courts, across India. Ms. Anuja Gulati - State Programme Officer - UNFPA

Ms. Anuja Gulati is a Masters in Business Administration from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and has been working in the area of Population and Development from the past 26 years. She is the State Programme Officer for the State of Maharashtra for United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) from last 16 years. She has supported Government for effective implementation of Pre-Conception & Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, (PCPNDT Act), to curb gender based sex selection, and has been involved in number of programmes of sensitization and providing training to Judiciary and the prosecution. Besides, she is a member of Experts Groups constituted by Government of Maharashtra for drafting the Maharashtra Bill for Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Maharashtra Clinical Establishment Act. She is also a member of the Committee on sexual harassment constituted by department of the Health and Family Welfare of Government of Maharashtra. Besides, she was also a member of Committee formed by Government of Maharashtra to suggest amendments to the MTP Act.

Adv. Mrs. Nandini Thakkar - Member "Save The Children, India" NGO

Save The Children India, is a Non-Profit organization founded in 1988 by Smt. Vipula Kadri and has headquarters at Mumbai. The organization assists the Government in effective Rehabilitation of Trafficked Survivors rescued from exploitative situations, and train them in various professions for their Rehabilitation and livelihood, such as Nursing, Sales and Marketing, Hospitality, housekeeping, beauty treatment, etc. Since past 8 to 10 years, it is engaged in sensitization and capacity building of the Law Enforcement Agencies, namely, Police, Judges and Prosecutors in the State of Maharashtra. Save the Children India, was instrumental in developing the Maharashtra State Action Plan to Combat Trafficking and, in partnership with DWCD, has established a State Level Anti Trafficking Coordination Unit in Pune District. Save The Children India, has partnered with various Governmental agencies and international agencies like UNDP & UNODC etc. to counter Human Trafficking.

Adv. Shri. P.K. Satyanathan

Adv. Shri P.K. Satyanathan is a very senior and experienced advocate from Nagpur, practicing in High Court as well as District Court. His name is well known in prosecution circles, as he has been regularly appointed as a Special Public Prosecutor in various sensational and important cases, in last two decades.

Shri P.K. Satyanathan, did LL.B. in 1981 from Law College, Nagpur. He was District Govt. Pleader at Nagpur for two terms, firstly 1993-1996 and then again 2002-2008. He has vast experienced in conducting criminal trials of sensitive nature. He has been appointed as a Special Public Prosecutor for TADA cases, SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act cases, Special Prosecutor for Naxal cell in important cases. Besides, he is also Senior Counsel for Police department, and also the counsel for Justice Dani Commission which relates to Gowari Hatyakand in Nagpur. Besides, Adv. P.K. Satyanathan is also into teaching. He had been teaching in the University Law College from 1993 to 2002. He has also been kind enough to visit this institute as guest faculty during training programmes of public Prosecutors.

Shri K.B. Zinjarde

Shri K.B. Zinjarde is a retired Principal District & Sessions Judge, and presently practicing as a lawyer before Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court. He did LL.B. and Diploma in Information Technology. He joined judiciary in 1982 as Civil Judge Junior Division and J.M.F.C. On the basis of his performance, he was promoted as a Civil Judge Senior Division in 1992, and later promoted as Addl. District Judge in 1997. He has served in courts at various places across State of Maharashtra including Judge of Labour Court at Akola and Chief Judicial Magistrate at Daman and Diu. He was also Registrar at Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Mumbai; and also the Joint Director of this very institute. He has served as Principal District & Sessions Judge at Amravati before his retirement.

Dr. Shri Kailash Marwah

Dr. Shri Kailash Marwah does not need any introduction to animal lovers. A renowned veterinary surgeon of this city, with excellent academics, Dr. Shri Kailash Marwah has done a lot of hard work in animal welfare activities, particularly in Disaster Management.

A University topper in B.V. Sc. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) in 1973, Dr. Kailash Marwah did his Masters in Surgery in 1975, when again he stood First Class First in the entire university. Thereafter, he worked as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Nagpur Veterinary College from 1975 to 1982, and then since 1987, he has been in small animals practice and Animal Welfare, till date.

Dr. Shri Kailash Marwah has lot of achievements to his credit in his illustrate long career as a Veterinarian and animal welfare activist. He was member of Animal Welfare Board of India, Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India, from 1990 to 1996, for two terms, and member of State Wild Life Board in 2004. He was also appointed as a nominee of Union Government of Ministry of Environment and Forest, on the committee for the purpose of Control and Supervision of experimentation of animals. (CPCSEA). Besides, Dr. Kailash Marwah is also a member of Monitoring Committee, appointed by the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court, for the control of Stray Dogs programme by way of animal birth control programme. Dr. Kailash Marwah has attended various conferences on animal science and welfare, in India & Abroad. He attended the Pet Food Regulatory workshop at St. Louis, USA, in October 2000. He participated in World Congress of "World Small Animals Veterinary Association" at Bangkok in 2003, and at Sydeny, Australia in August 2008. Besides, he also attended the workshop on "Disaster Management" conducted by World Society for Protection of Animals in February 2009 and December 2009.

Dr. Kailash Marwah has received various honours and awards for the great work done by him in the field of Animal Welfare. Dr. Kailash Marwah worked actively in rescue and relief operations for animals during the Latur earthquake in 1993. He did similar kind of work of animal treatment and rescue during the floods in Nagpur District in 1994, for which he was awarded certificate of honour awarded by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Dr. Kailash Marwah was felicitated by the Bhonsla Military School, at the hands of the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 1996, for the good work done by him. Dr. Kailash Marwah was awarded "Outstanding Field Veterinary Surgeon" award at the hands of Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Maharashtra State in 2002.

Dr. Kailash Marwah, is presently the Executive President of Nagpur Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals. Besides, Dr. Kailash Marwah, is on the Advisory Committee of "Pet India", a reputed journal dedicated to Pets and Animals Welfare. He has also authored a book titled "Disaster Management in Animal Welfare".

Hon'ble Shri K.P. Joshi, Director, Directorate Of Prosecution, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

Hon'ble Shri. K.P. Joshi sir, joined Judiciary as Civil Judge, Junior Division & Judicial Magistrate First Class in 1984. He was promoted as Additional District and Sessions Judge in 1994. Thereafter, in the year 2006 he was appointed as Principal District and Sessions Judge. Shri. K.P. Joshi has held various important positions in Maharashtra Judiciary, such as, Chairman of Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, City Civil & Sessions Judge at Mumbai, and Principal District Judge at Sindhudurg & Latur.

Shri. K.P. Joshi was appointed as Director of Prosecution, Maharashtra State, Mumbai in March 2014, and since then, he has taken strenuous efforts in improving prosecution of Criminal cases in the State of Maharashtra. The various government resolutions issued recently by the home department concerning the conduct of State Criminal Prosecution, such as, enhancement of witness allowances, calling government servant as a Panch Witness, Scrutiny of chargesheet, analyzing shortfalls leading to acquittals, & fixing of responsibilities for defective investigations, appointment of law officers, training of APPs, etc. are the results of keen initiative and efforts taken by Hon’ble Shri K.P. Joshi Sir. Shri. K.P. Joshi is a very straight forward personality and does not tolerate anything nonsense. The profile of State Prosecution in Maharashtra is surely undergoing a change under Shri K.P. Joshi’s leadership.

Shri R.R. Rathi

Shri R.R. Rathi is Judicial Officer of Civil Judge Senior Division Cadre, and presently posted as Deputy Registrar, Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court.

Shri R.R. Rathi has done LL.M. from Pune University, and prior to join judiciary, has worked as a Lecturer at Rathi Law College, Washim, for 4 years from 2000 to 2004. He joined judiciary as Civil Judge Junior Division in 2004, stood 6th Rank in the M.P.S.C. examination. He was First in Vidarbha Region. Keeping up with good work, Shri R.R. Rathi was promoted as Civil Judge Senior Division in 2011, whereafter he served as Civil Judge Senior Division at Nagpur. On account of his good work, he has been appointed on deputation as Deputy Registrar, at Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court.

Shri R.B. Parvekar

Shri R.B. Parvekar is Addl. Judge at Small Cause Court, Nagpur. Shri R.B. Parvekar has done LL.M. and has undergone specialization in Crime, Tort and Information Technology. He taught as lecturer to LL.B. Students for two years. Shri R.B. Parvekar joined judiciary in Feb. 2005 and served at various places across State of Maharashtra. Keeping up with his performance, he has recently been promoted to the Cadre of Civil Judge Senior Division and is presently posted as Addl. Judge, Small Cause Court, Nagpur. Shri R.B. Parvekar has a flair of teaching and has also keen interest in advanced studies of Cyber Laws.

Smt. P.S. Kale

Smt. P.S. Kale is presently working as Civil Judge Senior Division and A.C.J.M. at Nagpur. She has done LL.M. in Constitution and Administrative Law, and also Diploma in Cyber Law from Amravati University. Keeping up with her performance, she was promoted as Civil Judge Senior Division in June 2014. In her judicial career, she has dealt with many cases of varied nature, and has also presided over as Judge of Juvenile Court.

Shri A.A. Dhawas

Shri A.A. Dhawas is presently working as Civil Judge Junior Division and J.M.F.C. at Nagpur. A very enthusiastic and brilliant personality, Shri A.A. Dhawas has got number of educational degrees to his credit. He has done in M.A. in Political Science, Public Administration, Philosophy, B.Ed., LL.M. He has also qualified NET Test in Law. He has P.G. Diploma in Cyber Law & Information Technology. Besides, he has also done M.B.A. (HR) MBL (Corporate Laws) and MLS, PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and presently working on Ph.D. Shri A.A. Dhawas joined Bar in 2003 at Chandrapur, after practicing for 3 years, he joined State Judicial Service in 2006, as Civil Judge Junior Division & J.M.F.C.

Shri A.A. Dhawas has rich experience as a practicing lawyer, as an educator, and as a Judge. He has been delivering lectures for LL.B. and M.B.A. Courses, and is a regular visiting guest faculty in the training programmes held at this institute. He was also invited by the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa to deliver lectures in the programme "Judicial Service as a Career".

Shri Y.K. Rahangdale

Shri Y.K. Rahangdale is presently posted as Civil Judge Jr. Dn. & J.M.F.C. at Nagpur. Shri Y.K. Rahangdale is native of Gondia District. He did his LL.B. in 1998 from N.M.D. College, Gondia, whereafter he started practice at Tirora Taluka. He was Special Counsel for Forest Department and conducted many forest cases during his practice. He was selected as Civil Judge Junior Division & J.M.F.C., Wardha in 2006. After joining judiciary in 2006, he has served at various places and now presently posted at Nagpur. Having experience in conducting forest cases, both as a Lawyer and Judge, we found him to be appropriate person to share his knowledge about Evidence in Forest Laws.

Shri S.V. Thodge

Shri S.V. Thodge is presently posted as Civil Judge Junior Division & J.M.F.C., Nagpur, and presiding over Special Court for offence under Section 138 of N.I. Act. Shri S.V. Thodge did 5 years law course from Nagpur University, wherein stood 4th Merit in LL.B. Thereafter, he did LL.M. in Business Law from S.P. College of Law, Chandrapur, Nagpur University in 2008, wherein also he stood First Class. He practiced law for 4 years at District Court, Wardha. He was also visiting faculty at Yeshwant Mahavidyala, Wardha, delivering lectures on Company Law and Contract. Having good academics, and flair of teaching, Shri S.V. Thodge passed UGC - NET Examination in 2010, which is quite to tough and difficult to clear. He has keen interest in Company Law, Cr.P.C. and Evidence Act. He joined judiciary in 2013 as Civil Judge Junior Division and J.M.F.C. and presently posted at Nagpur.
